About SenCom

At SenCom, we offer a wide range of services to support children and young people with sensory and communication needs. We are a person-centred organisation, and our levels of intervention are matched to the changing needs of individual children and young people.

Our services include:

  • Advice & Support: to ensure educational settings meet the needs of children and young people with sensory impairment in their settings. This will include information and guidance about useful strategies, resources or other organisations
  • Specialist Teaching: One-on-one and group sessions with specialist teachers and teaching assistants to develop skills and strategies for learning, wellbeing, access and independence.
  • Family Support: Guidance and resources for families to help them understand and support their child's needs.
  • Training and Workshops: Professional development for the wider education workforce and other professionals to enhance their skills in supporting children with sensory and communication needs.

We work with children and young people from birth to 25:
