Supporting Inclusive Education

Our Vision Impairment Service (VIS) is dedicated to ensuring that pupils with vision impairment have equal access to learning and thrive in an inclusive environment. We work closely with schools to provide tailored support that enhances the educational experience for every child.

What We Offer

  • Exam Access Arrangements - We guide schools in implementing appropriate exam access arrangements, such as modified papers, extra time, and assistive technology, ensuring pupils can demonstrate their knowledge without barriers.
  • VIS and MSI Awareness Training - Our team delivers specialist training for staff and pupils to raise awareness of Vision Impairment (VI) and Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI). This training promotes understanding, empathy, and practical strategies for supporting learners effectively.
  • Subject-Specific Training - We provide bespoke training for subject teachers, helping them adapt resources and teaching methods to meet the needs of vision-impaired pupils in subjects such as science, mathematics, and physical education.

Our Goal

By equipping staff and pupils with the right knowledge and tools, we aim to create a learning environment where vision-impaired students can participate fully, achieve their potential, and feel valued.
