About this event
Who is the playgroup for?
Our Vision and Multi-Sensory Impairment Playgroup is available to babies and young children from birth to 4 years of age who have been referred to the Vision Impairment Service (VIS).
The playgroup provides a safe, inclusive environment where children can explore, play, learn and develop through sensory-rich activities, while families have the opportunity to connect with others who may have similar experiences.
What happens at the playgroup?
Each session is designed to be engaging, fun and accessible for young children. Activities may include:
- Sensory play and exploration
- Music, songs and rhymes
- Storytelling and communication activities
- Interactive games and play opportunities
- Early learning experiences to support development
- Opportunities to build confidence, independence and social skills
Activities are adapted to meet the individual needs of the children attending, helping them to explore their world through meaningful sensory experiences.
Support for parents and carers
Little Sparklers is not only for children. It also provides an opportunity for parents and carers to:
